On January 27th, SAFFIRE - The Uppity Blues Women will be releasing a new album entitled "Havin the Last Word."Join me, DJ Jitar for a special sneak preview of the album on Saturday the 24th.
Sadly, this will be SAFFIRE's last album. After 25 years of being one of the most entertaining and successful accoustic blues groups, the girls have decided to go their seperate ways. (The group will be doing one last "farewell" tour beginning in March 2009 that will bring their sassy, bawdy live show to audiances across the USA.
Although Ann, Gaye and Andrea are far from ready to hang up their instruments: Each is planning to continue to perform (and hopefully record) as individual artists.
